Hinduism is an ancestral religion whose characteristic is to have a very large pantheon. The three main divine figures venerated by the
Hindus are: Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. They constitute the Hindu
trinity (trimurti). There are many ceremonies, both private and public, which is one of the characteristics of this religion.
The Jainas consider the Universe as eternal, without beginning and without end. They differ in this from Hindus who believe in the creation
and destruction of the Universe. Religion developed in northern India but in the 4th and 3rd centuries BC Today there are about 4 million Jainas
in India.
